Action! Wisconsin is a statewide coalition of filmmakers, crew members, craftspeople and technicians, city governments, hotels, restaurants and caterers, small business owners, educators and others working to create and retain jobs, boost local economies and promote tourism statewide through film and television production.
As cinematography standards are compromised with the introduction of equipment that makes it easy to get “acceptable” results we help professional cinematographers hold on to a sense of discipline and quality. “Good enough” is not good enough and “close enough” is miles away from good.
Of necessity, our discussions are often of a technical nature, but we never lose sight of the fact that we are “Guardians of the Image”.
Founded in 2008 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to hosting Milwaukee’s premiere film festival, Milwaukee Film provides incredible opportunities to view the best contemporary American and international cinema.
The Wisconsin Production Guide began in 2002 to promote Wisconsin as a location for film and video production of all sizes. We provide an accurate directory so that producers not familiar with the area can contact qualified crew and find rental equipment.
